York Place disturbance leads to Threat of Mass Violence arrest

On Thursday, September 12th, 2024, The Cumberland Police Department arrested Hallie Hansford Holder, 61, of Cumberland MD. Holder was arrested on an active Arrest Warrant issued by the Allegany County District Court for an incident that occurred on September 12th. During that incident, officers responded to the area of York Place for the report of a disturbance. Upon arrival on the scene, officers contacted multiple subjects, including Holder. During the investigation, it was discovered that Holder had threatened to shoot multiple subjects. Holder also made the same statements to officers on scene. At the time, Holder was taken to a nearby medical facility for evaluation and an application of charges was submitted for the issuance of an Arrest Warrant. Holder was taken before a District Court Commissioner for his Initial Appearance where he was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. He is currently being held without bond.
