Triple-A is reporting that indulgence is the new trend in vacation planning. Travelers spent 35% more on a trip in 2023 than the previous year, and stayed longer.  The average trip booked through AAA in 2023 was $5000 and lasted nine days.  Also noted was an increase in passport photos, international driving permits, and using TSA pre-check programs at airports.  Americans leave over 600 million vacation days unused every year.
