West Virginia drivers are continuing to increase their seat belt usage. The annual seatbelt usage survey required by the National Transportation Safety Administration indicated that West Virginia boasts a 91.98% usage rate, just ahead of the national average of 91%. Through programs including Click It or Ticket and high visibility enforcement, the state has seen steady increases in the using of seatbelts for driving safety.
