West Virginia’s Public Service Commission will be investigating how utilities and cable providers deliver outage notifications to their customers.
Utility providers will have 20 days to respond to the order, providing an explanation of how they notify their individual affected customers of service outages as well as what plans they have to add, expand, modify or improve such notification systems. Companies asked to respond include Potomac Edison, Mountaineer Gas, and Frontier Cable.
