The West Virginia Division of Highways has been recognized for its commitment to safety.  Recently, Encova Insurance presented the department with a safety recognition award for 2023. WVDOH was one agency selected out of 22 states for the award based on a reduction of injuries in the workplace, increased return-to-work activity and improvement in timely reporting.  “This is the most important thing we do,” said Secretary of Transportation Jimmy Wriston. “This is the biggest commitment that we make as a department is to keep our workers safe. To do what we do with zero incidents.”
