Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations ranging from a coating to around an inch or two west of Route 219 with 3 to 6 inches expected along and east of Keysers Ridge to Bittinger. Snow accumulations of 4 to 8 are expected from Grantsville to Finzel into western Allegany County including Savage Mountain. Ice accumulations ranging from a few hundredths in western Garrett to a quarter of an inch near Keyser's Ridge. for Garrett and Extreme Western Allegany Counties until 2PM this afternoon.
Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will impact the morning commute. Snowfall rates around one to two inches per hour are possible during the morning commute on Interstate 68 from Keysers Ridge to Savage Mountain to Frostburg, increasing the potential for dangerous travelling conditions during this time. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. Precipitation will begin as a wintry mix for most locations with a period of moderate to heavy snow most likely from Keysers Ridge to Savage Mountain. Precipitation will change to rain early Tuesday afternoon.
