CSX Transportation's unveiling locomotive 1852, its 12th Heritage locomotive with a Western Maryland paint design including the railroads Fireball logo. Western Maryland railroad started in 1852 in Baltimore, Maryland and eventually became part of the Chessie system which then became CSX providing freight and coal service to Maryland, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. CSX Transportation Heritage fleet has grown to a dozen units representing predecessor lines such as Richmond, Fredericksburg & Potomac Baltimore & Ohio, New York Central and more.
