The second extraordinary session of the year for the West Virginia Legislature adjourned this week after passing 37 bills including a $250 child care tax credit, money for a safe schools initiative, and an additional 2% tax cut. “This two percent doesn’t get rid of it, does it? No, but it sends a signal to the world – we just did twenty-one and a quarter, right behind that we did another four, we triggered on another four, and now we’ve done another two. What does that tell everybody? That tells everybody absolutely that West Virginia is the place you ought to look.”
