West Virginia’s Department of Human Services is joining efforts to spotlight the importance of suicide prevention during National Suicide Prevention Month. Governor Jim Justice signed a proclamation recognizing September as Suicide Prevention Month in the state. Justice said he hopes the proclamation plays a part in making people aware of those around them who may be in need of help…
“This piece of paper won’t do much but at the end of the day if it gets us to just think, if it gets us to just be aware, and it gets us to really, really, really try to do anything and everything we can for someone that’s struggling in some way whatever it may be mentally – we gotta watch. We gotta watch and do all we possibly can.”
