There is still no resolution to the high school football playoff situation in West Virginia. The West Virginia Secondary Schools Activities Commission has paused all games while the issue is tied up in court injunctions over how the state’s ratings system is being applied to teams. In his press briefing, Governor Jim Justice says he is monitoring the situation and wants a move to happen sooner rather than later…
“This is a process I can get in I guess if I have to get in but we got to have transparency and we got to have resolution to this now. Or what’s going to happen, sure as I’m sittin’ here, is you’re going to have kids trying to do two different things all at one time. And even though the rules may state well gotta come to basketball practice for five days before you can play or this or that or whatever – and before you know it, you’re going to have kids get hurt.”
