Tuesday’s elections brought a new governor for West Virginia. State Attorney General Patrick Morrisey, a Republican, won against Huntington city’s mayor Steve Williams and will replace Governor Jim Justice who won a U.S. Senate seat. Morrisey made his acceptance speech, telling West Virginians he will fight for freedoms and eliminate barriers to progress…
“To every West Virginian that can hear me tonight, I see you, I hear you and I am no different or better than you. You deserve respect and dignity and a path for a better life. I want to help you find that by fighting to protect your freedoms and eliminating all the barriers where you have government standing in your way.”
