West Virginia Governor Jim Justice has awarded $5 million dollars in West Virginia Community Corrections Grants to 30 projects statewide. The money provides a means to develop and maintain community-based corrections programs, providing alternative sentencing for those offenders who may require less than institutional custody. Mineral and Hampshire Counties each received $190,000 for continued operations of their programs.
