WCBC Will Stream Lonaconing Tree Lighting Planned

The town of Lonaconing is known for its Christmas light display and its annual Coney Christmas that takes place in mid-December. Wednesday, December 11 is the date set for the town’s Christmas Tree lighting.  Mayor Jack Coburn shared details with WCBC about the event that begins at 6pm…

   

“There will be free cookies and free hot chocolate offered to everyone. It’s not a real long ceremony, but we do shut the highway down a little while there just to prevent anyone getting injured by a passing car. Our Sorority Angels which is a volunteer group and they do things for the community. They will be taking care of all the free hot chocolate and cookies that evening.”
