On Sunday, April 27, 2025, Officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence in the 100 Block of Washington Street for the report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers were able to observe the active disturbance inside the residence. Through the investigation, it was learned that an assault had occurred. As a result, Matthew O'Reilly was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center, where he was released on an unsecured $5,000 bond pending his trial.
Arrest: Matthew Ryan O'Reilly, Age 32, Cumberland, Maryland.
Charge: Assault Second Degree.

On 07/22/2023 at approximately 6:00 PM the Cumberland City Police were dispatched to the 400 block of Washington Street for an assault. Upon arrival officers made contact with the victim. The victim advised they were assaulted by Keira Long. Officers observed visible injuries consistent with the victim’s statement. Long was placed under arrest and transported to the Allegany County Detention Center for central booking. Long received a hearing before a District Court Commissioner and was released on her personal recognizance.?
