Warrants Served and Arrests Made Monday, October 28, 2024

Travis Allen Riggleman, 32 of Westernport, was served a District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for a Violation of Probation hearing. His original conviction was for Possession-Not Cannabis where he entered a guilty plea and received a Probation Before Judgment disposition with 12-months Supervised Probation while his other charge of Concealing a Dangerous Weapon was placed on the Stet Docket. Riggleman is being held without bond pending a bail review in District Court.

James Allen Brady, 38 of Kitzmiller, was served an arrest warrant associated with a police chase that occurred on Saturday, 10/24/24 at approximately 1:30 am, where a Deputy with the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office observed a UTV (side by side) on McMullen Highway in the Cresaptown/Bowling Green area traveling at a high rate of speed and straddling the white fog lie placing the vehicle partially on the roadway and partially on the shoulder of Rt 220. While attempting to make a traffic stop, the UTV driver failed to stop, used the UTV to strike the patrol vehicle, and led deputies on a pursuit lasting several miles on I-68 East. The UTV varied speeds between 35 mph to 90 mph and failed to respond to lights, sirens, and the commands over the vehicle loud speaker until ultimately additional Sheriff’s Office Deputies were able to assist and utilized their patrol vehicles to slow the UTV and safely deescalate the situation to get the driver stopped. During the traffic stop, Mr. Brady had observable injuries, expressed several verbal threats of mass violence, and evidence was present for alcohol and CDS. An arrest warrant was served on Mr. Brady outlining the following charges: Threat of Mass Violence, CDS: Possession-Not Cannabis, Intoxicated Endangerment, CDS: Possession-Not Cannabis, and Obstruction and Hindering. Additional traffic charges and citations were issued including: Operating an ATV on Controlled Access Highway, Willfully Disobeying (Lawful, Order, Direction) Of a Police Officer, Attempt by Driver to Elude Police in Official Police Vehicle by Failing to Stop, Reckless Driving, Driving Vehicle in Excess of Reasonable and Prudent Speed on Highway, Unsafe Lane Changing, Driving, Attempting to Drive Vehicle While Impaired by Controlled Dangerous Substance, Driving, Attempt to Drive Vehicle while So Far Impaired by Drugs &/or Alcohol Cannot Drive Safely, He is being held without bond pending a bail review in District Court.

David P. Alexandru, 41 of Baltimore was extradited from Delaware County, PA by Allegany County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies, and was served a Maryland State Police District Court Warrant for Theft: $1,500 to Under $25,000. Mr. Alexandru is being held on detainer for several other jurisdictions including Allegheny County, PA; Broward County, FL; Monongalia County, WV; Riverside County, CA and Homeland Security. He is
