On Saturday June 29th, 2024 at approximately 9:01 pm, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to the 100 block of Virginia Avenue for a reported robbery. Upon officer’s arrival they spoke with the victim who alleged that Russell McLamb had stolen a quantity of US Currency from after a brief a struggle. The victim further alleged that McLamb had grabbed them by the throat and struck them in the head before fleeing the scene. Officers canvased the area and were able to locate McLamb, subsequently placing him under arrest. McLamb was taken before a District Court Commissioner where he was held without bond.
Arrest: Russell Clinton McLamb, age 39, Cumberland Maryland.
Charge: Robbery, Assault First Degree, Two Counts of Assault Second Degree, Theft Less Than $100.
