On Sunday, December 22, 2024 at approximately 12:22 AM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a business in the 400 block of Virginia Avenue for a subject that had made threats about a shooting. Police contacted the staff who reported that Christopher Weimer was in the store and he had previously made threats about shooting up the store. The staff wanted Weimer served with a no trespass letter. Officers contacted Weimer as he was leaving the store. Weimer immediately began causing a disturbance and cursing at officers. Weimer was served with the notice and he continued causing a disturbance and failed to obey officers’ orders to stop yelling and to leave the property. Weimer was arrested and transported to Central Booking. He was later seen by a District Court Commissioner and released on his personal recognizance.
