On Friday, October 11, 2024 at approximately 3:38 PM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence in the 1200 block of Virginia Avenue for a disturbance. Officers arrived and contacted several witnesses who reported that Douglas Noipoom was creating a disturbance. They advised he was shouting and attempting to kick in the door to the residence. They also reported that Noipoom had threatened to burn down the residence. After further investigation, Noipoom was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. He was later seen by a District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.
