On 08/17/2024 at approximately 3:00 PM the Cumberland City Police responded to the 1100 block of East Oldtown Road for a violation of a protective order. Officers spoke to the victim who advised they had a final protective order barring Sean McElwee from contacting them or being at their residence. Officers confirmed the protective order was still active. McElwee was located in the residence attempting to hide in a bedroom. McElwee was placed under arrest without issue and transported to the Allegany County Detention Center for central booking. McElwee received a hearing before a District Court Commissioner and was held on a temporary commitment.
