On Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at approximately 9:23 AM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence in the first block of Grand Avenue for a subject violating a peace order.  Police arrived on scene and contacted the resident who explained that she has a final peace order against Jason Winfield. She reported that Winfield was on her property earlier, but left prior to police arrival.  While police were speaking with the resident, Winfield arrived and began yelling at the resident from across the street.  The officer confirmed that there was a peace order in place and Winfield was currently in violation of the order.  Winfield was placed under arrest and transported to Central Booking.  He was later seen by a District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond.
