On Friday, November 22, 2024 at approximately 2:39 PM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to the first block of Utah Avenue for a theft in progress.  The alleged victim had observed the suspect on his security camera, stealing property. Police arrived and located the suspect, Jason Stottlemyer, who was in possession of what was determined to be the property of the victim.  After further investigation, Stottlemyer was arrested and transported to police headquarters.  He was issued a criminal citation and released pending trial.
