The Allegany County Board of Education is making progress on its search for a new county schools Superintendent.  Board President Crystal Bender said the timeline for the search is posted on the ACPS website…

 

“We are at the point in the phases of the Superintendent search where the application process has closed. That closed on April 8th. We will be conducting our first round interviews between April 25 and 26 from there we’ll move into second round interviews of May 2 and 3 and after that we’ll get to the process of stakeholder focus groups.”

Bender is not at liberty yet to say who or how many applications they have received…

   

“Because of the, you know, confidentiality of those who are employed rather it be local or out of town, that type of thing, everything is confidential until we get to the finalist announcement.”
