Tomorrow, the Union Rescue Mission of Western Maryland will kick off its capital campaign and have the ground breaking for its new shelter location at the former High Point Furniture on North Centre Street.
Union Rescue has been working with those homeless and needy in the community since 1963. Executive Director David Ziler told WCBC News the project budget for the new space is around $2.9 million dollars.
