College tuition at area colleges has been increasing in recent years.  The cost of facility growth and maintenance, more administrative staffing, salaries, benefits, fees and food costs have caused the gradual tuition raises.  According to US News and World Report, Potomac State College of West Virginia in Keyser is the most affordable in the area with tuition and fees at $4,752 for in-state students.  In-state tuition at Allegany College of Maryland is $4,920, and Frostburg State University is $9,804.  These numbers do not include room and board.
