Troopers from the Cumberland Barracks of the Maryland State Police were recognized by the organization for their involvement in the detention and arrest of three people of interest in an FBI investigation. The three arrested on February 16 are members of the so-called Zizian cult, and one was wanted on criminal charges in relation to the death of a U.S. Border Patrol agent.  Officers recognized were Master Trooper Brandon Jeffries, Master Trooper Mark Lechliter, and Emergency Dispatch Supervisor Brain Crawford.
