Congressman David Trone spent a good deal of time in Western Maryland over the weekend, making check presentations for funding secured while in his last year in office. During his lap through Allegany and Garrett Counties, Trone thanked communities for their support and spoke about the importance of keeping a Democrat in the 6th District seat, especially when project funding is concerned…
“It’s really important to bring a Democrat back to this district because Republicans, when they took charge two years ago, they cut all community project funding over 50%. They eliminated all the non-profits that applied. They’re no longer eligible. Under Democrats, they are eligible.”
