Traffic Stop leads to CDS and Handgun Arrest

On October 18th, 2024 at approximately 12:54 p.m. an officer from the Cumberland Police Department observed a vehicle violating traffic law, in the area of W. Industrial Boulevard, and initiated a traffic stop. During the course of the stop, a police K9 was utilized to conduct a free air sniff of the exterior of the vehicle, which alerted positive to the presence of narcotics inside of the vehicle. During a subsequent search, suspected CDS, CDS paraphernalia, and a firearm were located. As a result, Josua Levi Walker, was placed under arrest and transported to central booking. Walker was later presented before a District Court Commissioner and was held on $15,000.00 bond.
