The Cumberland City Police Department would like to announce the following parking restrictions and street closures that will take place for the upcoming Rock the Block in the downtown area on Saturday, October 12, 2024 between the hours of 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
The Cumberland Street Department will place “No Parking Signs” on designated streets in the downtown area on Friday, October 11, 2024. Parking will be prohibited from 6 a.m. on Saturday, October 12th, until 6:00 a.m on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at the following locations: Pershing Street from Mechanic to Liberty Street, Dexter Place from Liberty Street to Pershing Street and the MPA parking lot on Merchants Alley. At 6:00 a.m. parking restrictions will occur on Pershing Street, Dexter Place and Merchants Alley.
The following streets will be closed on Saturday October 12, 2024: Pershing Street from Mechanic Street to Liberty Street. Liberty Street from Frederick Street to Union Street. All streets should be opened by 11:00 pm.
Please expect an increase in vehicular and pedestrian traffic in the area. Please plan accordingly and as always be safe.
