Over the Heritage Days weekend, free tours of the historic Rose Hill and Saint Peter and Paul’s cemeteries will be conducted by the Cumberland Historic Cemetery Organization. The tours feature many of the area’s citizens responsible for the development of Cumberland and those who played a wider part in the country’s history. CHCO President Ed Taylor, Jr. says the tours happen twice each day and there is plenty of parking at the Fayette Street location…
“They begin on Saturday and Sunday. We have two tours each day – one at noon and the other at three. And they are walking so be prepared to walk. They last an hour and fifteen minutes, an hour and a half at most.”
