More members of Congress are signing on to support the AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act.
Over 250 members of the House of Representatives have signed on as co-sponsors for the bill to keep AM radio in vehicle dashboards. Many of the major auto makers have said that they will discontinue providing AM radio in vehicles with the exception of Ford.
The National Association of Broadcasters is lobbying that AM radio needs to remain for the role it plays in public safety, local news and information, and community service.
