When a groundbreaking ceremony for the Rolling Mill commercial development project was held in December of 2020- the hope was that some of those potential businesses would be open and operating by the fall of 2021. That did not occur however and with 2022 now winding down- next spring is the new ribbon cutting target. The center is being constructed between Park Street and Maryland Avenue and Emily and Williams streets, part of the Rolling Mill neighborhood. Once complete, the center will contain restaurants, shops and a hotel. The developer, Ed Scott, of Kline Scott Visco Commercial Real Estate, said the biggest hit obviously came as a result supply chain issues. One of Scott’s other local projects, Starbucks in LaVale recently opened for business but it too was substantially delayed by supply chain problems…
