Potomac Edison has issued a summer storm checklist for its customers. Citizens can sign up for outage alerts and text messages.
Emergency kits should be made ready with fully charged devices, flashlights, batteries, blankets, and a first aid kit. The emergency bag should also contain bottled water, convenience foods, and personal health items. Residents are reminded to stay at least 10 yards away from any downed or low hanging lines. Downed lines should be reported to 911 immediately.
