Maryland State Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Karen Salmon visited two Allegany County Public Schools while in Western Maryland Thursday. Her first stop was at Braddock Middle School, where she was greeted with a song by members of the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade chorus, followed by a tour of several classrooms led by principal, Dr. Molly Stewart. Later, Salmon stopped to tour classrooms at South Penn Elementary School accompanied by principal, Scott Sisler, and assistant principal, Tessa Fairall. Salmon says she is fully supportive of the plan to return all students, teachers and staff back to the classroom for the start of the 2021-2022 school year- and the state will offer any assistance local school systems may need to accomplish that objective…
