An investigation is continuing into a crash early Friday morning near the Maryland/West Virginia state line that sent a state trooper and another driver to the hospital with injuries. An on-duty state trooper from the McHenry Barrack was concluding an oversized load escort on I-68 West when he attempted to travel toward the emergency crossover and for unknown reasons was struck by a GMC pickup operated by a 47-year old male. Both drivers were transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
