July 2024 was the fourth-best single month in contributions to the state of Maryland for sports book wagering.
$6.2 million dollars in taxes came to the state in July – that money goes to the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future Fund which supports public education programs.
Statewide, players wagered $333 million dollars across retail and mobile betting sites. Winnings paid to players totaled $290 million dollars. Since Maryland’s sports wagering program began in 2021, over $97 million dollars has been given to the state’s Blueprint Fund and Problem Gambling Fund.
