The Maryland State Highway Administration will begin a safety and resurfacing project Monday on Interstate 68 between Vale Summit Road, and Upper George’s Creek Road. Electronic message boards, detour signs, barrels, and cones will guide motorists safely through the work zone. Charlie Gischlar of the SHA says construction will occur Monday through Friday until Winter sets in…
"Drivers can expect some alternating lane closures as we go ahead and improve the roadway. The crew's will start on the eastbound direction and once done that they will turn around and do the westbound direction. The whole project itself will be finished whether permitting by next June of 2025."
