Dozens of disasters nationwide from fires to hurricanes are under the $100 billion dollar funding package submitted by President Joe Biden.  Maryland’s Senator Chris Van Hollen made a plea before a congressional hearing, asking that the funding Biden promised to rebuild the Francis Scott Key Bridge stays in the funding package along with small business loans needed for the state…

“Thirty-five thousand vehicles cross this bridge every day. So, you can imagine the congestion and loss of economic opportunity. This has been all for one and one for all – that’s been the motto of the State of Maryland and we’re very much hoping and we expect our colleagues from around the country to support us.”
