The head of the Secret Service is resigning her position. Following five hours of testimony on Monday on Capitol Hill , Kiimberly Chealte is stepping down. She testified for five hours on Capital Hill yesterday about security lapses in Secret Service coverage of former President Donald Trump. Those lapses led to a gunman being able to shoot at the president at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, killing one rally attendee and injuring others. Previously, Cheatle had said she would not resign her position.
