During the recent Allegany County Public School Board meeting, School Bus Safety Week was recognized. Mike Matthews, Supervisor of Transportation for the school system, accepted a proclamation from board members for all of those involved in the safe transportation of Allegany County’s students…
“The safe transportation of our students requires many different people. Sometimes I like to think of it as many players on the team with many different roles and responsibilities. When you have buses on the road from Luke to Little Orleans, and Frostburg to almost Paw Paw Bridge, we’re faced with a lot of different challenges on a daily basis which we try to meet as best we can with our goal always being to be better the next day.”
