A goal of $10,000 has been set as the initial endowment for a scholarship to Allegany College of Maryland in honor and memory of James “Snake” Robertson’s commitment to education and opportunity. The scholarship will be for students graduating from the Career and Technical Education Center, where ACM spokesperson Kristin Kehrwald says Robertson was very active…
“With CCTE, he was a member of their building trades advisory council, the mock interview committee, and he also served on the local advisory council for ACPS and ACM.”
Kehrwald said donations for the scholarship can be made online through the ACM Foundation…
“Donations to the James “Snake” Robertson CCTE to ACM Workforce Scholarship can be made online to the ACM Foundation and donations actually are matched dollar for dollar up to $5,000 by an ACM Foundation donor who has ties to the Cumberland community.”
