AHEC West’s Certified Peer Recovery Specialists will participate in Save A Life Day on Thursday, September 26 during National Recovery Month. Along with the Allegany and Garrett County Health Departments, AHEC West Peers will be at different sites in both counties distributing naloxone and other harm-reduction supplies. Peers will be present throughout the day at the Westernport, Frostburg, and LaVale branches of the Allegany County Library. Peers will also be at the TPM Recovery Resource Center in Keyser while health department staff will be in Lonaconing.
