The Greater Cumberland Regional Airport is losing its manager by the end of the month.  Ryan Shaffer has been the Airport Manager since 2012 and is leaving to take another position elsewhere as a pilot.  The Potomac Highlands Airport Authority has already started the search for a replacement.  Under Shaffer’s tenure, the airport has undergone extensive renovations and improvements, the most recent being improvements to the runway.  Allegany County Commissioner Bill Atkinson who sits on the board for the airport authority, spoke highly of Shaffer’s tenure as the airport’s manager and his oversight of the improvement projects…
