On November 3rd, 2024 at approximately 2:30 a.m., the Cumberland Police Department responded to the area of the 220 Park and Ride for an assault complaint. Upon arrival an officer contacted the victims and was advised that Matthew Michael Logsdon had damaged their vehicle and intentionally drove his vehicle into the victim’s vehicle. One victim stated that Logsdon jumped onto the hood of the vehicle and kicked the windshield creating damage. Logsdon then ripped off a sideview mirror before entering his car and driving head-on into their SUV. Officers observed the damage to all vehicles and found it to be consistent with the victims’ statements. Logsdon was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to Central Booking. He was seen by a District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany Detention Center without bond.
