A former Cumberland resident is being held without bond in Salisbury, Maryland on an attempted murder charge. Retired doctor Francis Daniel Jackson was arrested by Maryland State Police and charged with attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and intoxicated endangerment. The charges stem from an incident on August 16th in Salisbury. Court documents indicate Jackson is being held without bond.
