Governor Wes Moore’s focus on education in his State of the State address included a national campaign to recruit educators to come to the state.  He mentioned the Education Blueprint, but Republicans in the House took notice that there was no talk around the funding issues for it.  In response to the speech, House Minority Leader Jason Buckel noted that money for other projects is being diverted to finance the Blueprint…

  

“This year alone, the Blueprint fund includes about $1 billion in revenue that used to be available for things like healthcare, economic development, public safety, and our infrastructure needs. To say the Blueprint is not contributing to Maryland’s deficit is just not true.”
