Voters going to the polls should be aware that there is a question on the Maryland ballot titled “Constitutional Amendment – Right to Reproductive Freedom.” Many early voters have missed the question as it is on the back of the ballot. Voters also have other misconceptions about the question. Michael Mudge of Allegany Right To Life, talked to the Dave Norman Program, saying the description on the ballot does not explain clearly what it is about and it takes actions out of the hands of elected officials…
“This referendum question is so vaguely worded and so politely and nicely worded, I think it’s deliberately deceptive. If this referendum passes, it doesn’t change anything about abortion law in Maryland. If this referendum would be defeated, abortion would still be legal in Maryland so it’s not really about abortion.”
