On Sunday, February, 16, 2025 at approximately 5:52 PM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a business on Queen City Drive for a trespassing complaint. Police arrived and learned that the suspect, Donald Martin, was in the ‘Associate’s Only’ portion of the store and refusing to leave. The staff reported that when they told Martin to leave, he threatened to burn the store down. Martin then used a lighter in an attempt to burn the employee. There were other people inside the store at this time to include staff and customers. Martin was arrested and transported to Central Booking. He was later seen by a District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.
