WCBC News has learned that Allegany County Director of Emergency Services, Jim Pyles, will be retiring. Pyles took on the position in 2019. He also served with the Maryland State Police until his retirement as a Major in 2015. Sources indicate that Roger Bennett, Deputy Director, will oversee operations until a replacement can be foud. WCBC news reached out to Allegany County for comment and were informed at a Press Release would be issued on Monday.
