For the week of March 1-5, 2021, ACPS reports that one staff member within an Allegany County Public School building has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. This individual will complete the required isolation period before returning to the school building. It has been determined that there are no close contacts to this individual within the school and no need to quarantine students or staff as a result of this positive case. Parents and staff in the impacted school have been notified of a case in the building through the ACPS Blackboard notification system. There were no student cases of COVID-19 reported this week in an ACPS school building.
In addition, there were three staff members reported this week as quarantined due to close contact with a positive person or Covid-Like Illness (CLI). There were nine students reported this week as quarantined due to close contact with a positive person or Covid-Like Illness (CLI).
