The City of Cumberland is having a public meeting on Thursday, January 9 at 1pm for input on the upcoming Wayfinding Plan with Merje Design.  Discussion of preliminary findings for use in the plan for new directional and informational signage will take place.  Historic Preservation Planner Ruth Davis-Rogers says the designer needs public insights, opinions, and ideas to move forward in the process…

   

“Now it’s not just time for them to talk to us but to talk to the public.  And they want to, you know, just kind of give them some of their feedback, some of their ideas, learn what the public thinks of some of the things that they want to do moving forward, or that they are suggesting.  Because it’s not about what we want, I mean, it’s a whole community thing.”
