Last week, the head coach of the Potomac State College Girls Softball team resigned his position, citing funding cuts to the travel budget. In reports, Coach Craig Rotruck said that without the ability to travel to play in tourneys and against four-year schools, his players lose the chance to be seen by recruiters. WCBC news contacted Potomac State University Relations Representative Chris Hess who confirmed that non-essential travel funding was cut from all sports.
